Captain Marvel Jr. #61
Fawcett Publications Inc. May 1948
This month I give you a milestone, my 100th Golden Age comic, Captain Marvel Jr. #61!!! This is extra special for me because the first GA superhero book I bought was CMJ #110. Jr. was also one of the reasons I first became interested in the Golden Age and will always be my favorite no matter what hero I may be interested in at the time.
This cover also happens to be one of my favorite from Fawcett (drawn by Kurt Schaffenberger), and the story behind it is equally as interesting!
