Bugs Bunny beat him to the title of first funny animal hero in Loony Tunes #5 when he became "The Super-Duper Rabbit." Supermouse got his powers from his magic cheese (which you learn about in this very story). He was also unique in the fact that he was married! His wife's name was Mabel.
