You really outdid yourself this time Steve. One of the great things
about the Golden Age comics was the variety of genres presented and this issue captured that sort of mix perfectly. The Black Terror was great as usual. And I really liked the great artwork on Fighting Yank. Spy Smasher was also good. I loved that ghoulish monster with the swastika on his forehead. I assume the art was by the Cheslar studio. They did some great work in the early days.

I also liked Torchy.  In fact I love Torchy.  I first saw her in an IW reprint in the sixties and you can imagine the effect it had on a young reader used to code approved comics. Not exactly pc these days but still a great and funny strip.

The best story in the issue though was the Wise Guys. I was really rooting for Peewee in his battle against the bully. Its a shame that strips like this can't get published nowadays. Charles Biro was truly one of the greats.

You said it all! However it looks like you are the only one who said it. The sheer greatness of the last issue must have knocked the rest of you into silence. Am I right? ;-)

-Steve
