The decision
to sack Jocky Scott from the manager's position at Dens Park angered the majority
of Dundee fans. And who can blame them? Under Scott, Dundee finished seventh
last season and they were the only team in the league to beat Rangers at Ibrox.
New manager Ivano Bonetti is in the process of shaking things up at Dens Park,
so it's important the fans give him time to get things right.
They had a
very respectable away record last term, which allowed them to stay clear
of the relegation battle. They finished in seventh place, 49 points behind
Rangers and eight points ahead of bottom club Aberdeen.

It will be
interesting to see how Bonetti gets on this season, along with new signings
Javier Artero, a £300,000 buy from San Lorenzo; Marco de Marchi, signed
on 3 year deal from Vitesse Arnhem under Bosman ruling; Georgian captain
Giorgi Nemsadze from Reggiana; Marcello Marrocco from Modena on a free transfer;
Fabian Caballero from Sol de America on a free transfer; and Juan Manuel
Sara from Serro Portino, also on a free transfer.
Very exotic,
but it remains to be seen whether Dundee can continue the level of form
they showed last season.
