Benito Carbone
New Bradford boss Chris Hutchings is favourite out of the 20 Premiership managers to lose his job, according to bookmakers William Hill. Hutchings, who replaced Paul Jewell in the summer, is rated at 8-11 to have a short stay at Valley Parade.

City only stayed up by the skin of their teeth last term with victory over Liverpool on the final day, and the Bantams are many people's tip for the drop again, but after strengthening their squad with several 'useful' signings, they may find the going slightly easier this time round.

Dan Petrescu

Most attention at Valley Parade has centred around City's huge investment in controversial Italian Benito Carbone. The ex-Villa and Sheffield Wednesday man is undoubtedly talented, and if Hutchings can give him a role where he doesn't have to do much defensive work Bradford can have a very good season.

They are certainly paying Carbone a lot of money and are depending on him more than any other player to keep them up. Only time will tell if such an ambitious gamble pays off or backfires. Carbone's arrival certainly solves the biggest problem at the club last season, a lack of firepower, but could lead to other problems, if things don't gel. Ahley Ward has been brought in to bang'em in alongside the Italian, and he'll be looking to prove himself at the highest level, after being a consistent scorer in the Nationwide League.

Dean Windass

The first few games will determine whether Hutchings and his men have an easy ride this time round. If they get a good start and they pick up a few points early, that would cushion them for later on, when the squad gets drained by injuries and suspensions, as it inevitably will.
