Bolton enjoyed
fantastic support at the 25,000 capacity Reebok Stadium and they were perhaps
a little unlucky to lose in the play-offs after finishing sixth. They will
be there or thereabouts against this season, although manager Sam Allardyce
has a big task on his hands if he is to steer Wanderers into the Premiership.
Eidur Gudjohnsen
(Chelsea, £4m) and Claus Jensen (Charlton, £4m) will be difficult to replace,
with much of the responsibility falling on Per Frandsen, back at the Reebok
after a £1.6 million move from Blackburn.

The arrival
of Michael Ricketts (Walsall, £400,000) and Leam Richardson (Blackburn,
£50,000) will help and it will be interesting to see how the highly rated
Paul Wheatcroft does following his free transfer from Manchester United.
