X-Games:
Skateboarding
Despite
Tony Hawk's retirement from competitive singles action - the standard was
expected to be extremely high on the vert ramp - with Bucky Lasek and Pierre-Luc
Gagnon going head-to-head for the gold.
However, the video-game hero was down to compete alongside Andy MacDonald
in the vert doubles - where the pair were aiming for their fourth successsive
gold.
Parkland favourite Chris Senn was hoping that a niggling ankle injury wouldn't
rule him out of contention for a long-overdue gold medal.
The Best Trick competition will see Andy MacDonald, Bob Burnquist, Mathias
Ringstrom, Tas Pappas, and Colin McKay aim to take skating to a whole new
level.
