Highlights, presented by Jon Champion.

Olympic Basketball, Sydney

Once again this event is going to be all about Team USA and the latest incarnation of the 'Dream Team'. Even the official Olympic website admits that: "everyone knows the gold will be going home with Kevin Garnett , Tim Duncan, Gary Payton and the rest of the US Team". And looking at their All-Star NBA line-up, who could argue with that?

As far as the silver medal is concerned Yugoslavia are probably the most fancied - but also look out for an underrated Lithuania team who picked up the bronze back in 1996.

The women's event should be a closer run affair, but Team USA - with several professionals from the WNBA on show - are still the side to bet on. Other contenders include Australia, Brazil, Russia and Poland - with Brazil's Paula de Silva and Russia's Maria Stepanova two names likely to be hitting the basketball headlines in Sydney.
