What is SportList.com?
Sportlist.com provide a searchable database of all the sport programmes available on UK television, alongside an editorial preview to enhance your enjoyment of the action. It can show, for example, all the Golf programmes on that week, so you don’t have to search through pages of TV listings to find out when your favourite sport is on. We also showcase the main events in each sport, on a daily basis, so the listings can be narrowed down to include only the programmes relevant to your particular needs.

How do I use it?
Click your desired sport from the menu on the left, and you'll now be on that sport's home page. Either choose one of the previews down the centre of the screen to have event-specific TV listings alongside a full editorial preview, or alternatively, select your ITV region from the menu in the top-right hand corner, to see listings for every programme in your particular sport.

Which TV Channels are covered?
We cover BBC1 & 2 (including regional variations), ITV (including regional variations), Channel 4 and S4C, Channel 5, BBC News 24, BBC Choice, ITV2 and S2, Sky Sports 1, 2 & 3, Sky Sports.comTV, British Eurosport and On Sport 1. At present we have no plans to cover TV channels outside the UK. If you think we should cover your country, please mail here with your country in the SUBJECT section of your email.

How do I sign up?
Enter your email address in the field provided on the home page. We will then email you weekly highlights and news from SportList.com. We will not disclose your details to anyone - see our privacy policy for full details.

What do I do if I can’t find any listings for my sport?
In order to keep the menu to a manageable size, we’ve had to group various sports together in a fairly judicious way - such is the breadth of sports coverage in the UK.

The following classifications should help you find what you’re looking for:
Athletics - all aspects of Track and Field, including Cross-country and Marathon running.
Cycling - all forms of pedal-power including Mountain Biking and BMX racing.
Extreme Sports - a wide variety of sports ranging from Skateboarding to Cliff Diving. Some cross-over into Watersport, Wintersports and Cycling depending on individual programme content.
Football - everything from live Premiership action to late-night footy phone-ins.
Motorcycling - on 2 wheels? Motorised? Superbikes, GP Motorcycling, Motocross, Trials & Speedway.
Motorsport - All forms of four-wheeled Motorsport on and off the track - from Formula 1 to Formula Palmer Audi, NASCAR to Rallying, and even Truck Racing to Tractor-Pulling.
Watersport - Everything from Swimming to Yachting, Waterskiing and Surfing.
Winter Sport - All forms of Skiing, Snowboarding, as well as Bobsleigh, Luge and Figure Skating.
(This option will be available a fortnight before the start of the Wintersports season)
Misc - includes: Wrestling,Volleyball, Triathlon, Trampolining, Ten-Pin Bowling, Table Tennis, Sumo, Strong Man, Squash, Shooting, Pool, Martial Arts, Gymnastics, Greyhound Racing, Darts, Crown Green Bowls, Aerobics and even Aerobatics.....
News/General - Any programme that shows a variety of sports in a news, round-up or feature-led format.

Remember to contact us if you have any suggestions for making these classifications more user-friendly and relevant for you.
How does Sportlist.com cater for regional variations?
All the listings are fully compatible with the 16 ITV local broadcasting regions. Regional variations on the BBC are not as extensive, so the 12 BBC regions have been streamlined into the respective ITV categories. This is also because the ITV regional companies are often perceived to be more established as individual companies, and therefore are more recognisable.

The only region where this streamlining has been difficult, the Border ITV region, has approximately half of it’s viewership in northern England, 10% on the Isle of Man, and the remainder in southern Scotland. It is therefore been split into Border-England and Border-Scotland, to be compatible with BBC North East and BBC Scotland regions respectively.
