Classical song heard before silence at 16.49 utc (?Armenian lang b'cst). Opening again at 17.00 utc, (?Azeri lang b'cst) with YL nx (pos mention of Georgia) and a little "traditional" mx. 6230.5 kHz - 17.30 utc - UNID ( Radio Cairo ? ), EGY..? - (Turkish?) - sio:333 - Not a confirmed logging. No literal ID heard. However, the Middle Eastern or Egyptian "style" mx made the station sound like it could well be Cairo. But what really makes it appear to be Radio Cairo, is the wildly distorted and overmodulating audio. Even if I could understand Turkish, there's no way I could put up with listening to that racket for long... which is a shame, because the music might have been pleasant enough. - (Icom IC-R75 - 35m "longwire" - Guernsey, Chan.
