A familiar face to television audiences after his highly successful stint as Agent Scully’s love interest on the hit series The X Files, Rowland also starred with James Brolin in the syndicated hit series Pensacola: Wings of Gold. Rowland’s television credits include the MOWs A Crime of Passion for CBS, If Someone Had Known for NBC and Hearts Adrift for USA. Born in Southern California, Rowland attended Pepperdine University in Malibu on a full swimming and water polo scholarship. During his freshman year, Rod traveled to Europe where he caught the eye of fashion photographers. After graduating from college Rowland enjoyed a lucrative career as a print model, traveling to exotic locations and appearing on the covers of several magazines and in numerous catalogues.

Rowland then turned his eye to legitimate theater, moving to New York to study. He soon found work, appearing in several experimental theater productions including Who’s Got the Edge at the Madison Avenue Theater, The Mayor’s Limo at the American New Theater and Fuel at The Manhattan Class Theater.

Rowland currently resides in Los Angeles.
