Nino Gaggi was pretty much a gangster from the start of his life. He was connected early in his life because his father's cousin was Frank Scalise, a member of the Gambino family (or Mineo family at the time). He was Scalise's protege, and admired him very much. However, when Scalise was gunned down, he was very disappointed. He said,though, that this was the way he wanted to die, on the street with a gun in his hand. He made it into the family when he took revenge on Scalise's killer. He made the killer disappear by throwing him into a furnace. Later, in his career he became a capo under Paul Castellano. He took over Paul's old crew when Paul was made the boss. He later made some additions by adding a very important killer named Roy DeMeo. Nino would go down with many other people in the stolen car ring case against the Gambinos. He would die in prison a bit later.
