Some organizations have a formal charter; many do not. If our organization has a written charter, we'll include it here. If not, we'll use this area to discuss the reasons our club exists and what our goals are.
We as a New Jersey based BASS FISHING CLUB are held together primarily for the joy of fishing and friendship.What do we mean by that you ask? Well,one of our common goals as veteran club members, is to make the newcomer feel like he or she is a part OF,not a part FROM. Sure many of like the competition and excitement along with the praise one gets from doing well,but we as Northeast Bassmasters members have also put together a special award to the individual who has shown the BEST sportmanship throughout the entire year.This is voted on by all members of the club,therefore making it one of the most prestigious awards given at the banquet dinner.

Northeast Bassmasters was founded 5 yrs ago,by a former member named Mark Scocco.The club struggled for a few years with membership and funds,but has been reconstructed to a full pay dues club which allows anglers to fish any or all of the tournaments for that year.This change has increased stability and membership for the past two years.The club has had one member go to the Regionals in the past,but has not seen an angler go any further yet!!You could be the one to break that record.Each year all anglers attend a meeting once a month(first THURS of each month) to discuss any old,new or important business.Payouts are usually given at that time for the previous points event.
Approx.10 members have been with the club since it's beginning,taking on new members each year,both boaters and non-boaters alike.We also welcome anyone who would like to fish as an observer to join.

Newly elected executive members are elected every two years.The term of office for any board member is just a mere 2 yrs,alternating elections every year.The newly elected board for 2001 along with other member positions are listed below:
