PATRIOTIC ELVIS

Born poor in a two-room house in Tupelo, Mississippi, Elvis Presley rose from his humble beginnings to become America's greatest entertainer, achieving fame and wealth at an early age.  Yet, when duty called, he responded, abandoning the tight-fitting and stylish clothes he wore on stage for the uniform of an American soldier.  Without any of the special privileges his celebrity status might have afforded him, Elvis served honorably and was described as "an excellent soldier" by his commanding officer.  However..., is there more to this man than meets the eye?

Elvis and President Nixon

I'm sure most of you already know that Elvis met with President Richard Nixon on December 21, 1970.  During this visit, Elvis was presented with a Federal Agent's badge of the Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs.  Elvis wanted to continue his work on helping to wipe out illegal drugs.  Continue..., you ask?  That's right.  Elvis had, prior to his December 21, 1970, meeting in the Oval Office, been nominated by the U.S. Jaycees as one of America's Ten Most Outstanding Young Men for his work in drug enforcement.  He was a bonded deputy with the Memphis Police and was known to don disguises and go out on narc busts.  Two months prior to meeting with President Nixon, Elvis was presented with a CNOA Membership Certificate that reads:  This is to certify that Elvis A. Presley is a member in good standing of the California Narcotic Officers Association.

It is believed by many that Elvis was to testify against a popular crime ring, known as, 'The Fraternity', around the time that he 'died'.  Oh..., Yeah..., maybe I forgot to mention..., The leader of 'The Fraternity' had recently cheated Elvis' father, Vernon, out of $1,300,000 on the sale of one of Elvis' airplanes.

Did Elvis have dealings with any other U.S. Presidents, you ask? ....Well...
