I cant remeber whether it was Nietzche or Kierkegaard who likened the Artist. to a bronze furnace of torment created by an ancient , cruel king, into which he would burn his victums.. but the bronze furnace was so artfully constructed.. that the screams of anguish were transmuted and transfored through a series of chambers and pipes... into beautiful music.. thus the suffereings of the Artist are transformed into beautiful Art
well.. you just asked me "what do you Know"
so... of course... that question might have a number of meanings
(someone asks me why I said "Poor Goat Girl")
it is an affectionate term, from my culture..... when we become fond of someone.... we say..... poor so-and-so and, we sympathize with their own sufferings and needs
in some sense, every consciousness stuck in a particular form of existance is "poor" .... in the sense that it is "needy"
..anyway.... if you click on my URL.. and read my pages... you will know one answer to that question "what do you know"
Did you enjoy the bananna peal?
I used to live in a monastery that had two goats... and those goats were very very fond of bananna peals, and acted as if they were candy
So, goat girl, I have finally accepted your persona... and joined you in you "goat lila"
Yes.... you used to irritate me... but... part of living.... is surrender... and acceptance
So... I accept my om nature... and I accept your goat nature....
I once met a very interesting young woman,.. who ran long distance for charitable causes.. and she was about to run 150 miles... to the tip of long Island.. for breast cancer awareness....
I was introduced to her... and informed that she supported herself AS A BAR TENDER...
..so... in our conversation.... I commented..... "As an athlete,... who runs long distance,.... and takes special care of her health... you must be bothered ... watching the people in the bar... smoking... drinking"
..but... she suddenly got a far off.... distant. ... wise look in her eyes... like some old Zen Master.... and she replied "Each of them has reasons for the things that they do..." .... that was all she said.... but there was much wisdom in the answer
Yes... in the Gita... Lord Krsna says... in a long chapter where He explains what He (God) is... He says... "Of sacred syllables (mantras) I am OM"
OM is supposed to be the primordial sound of the Creation of the Universe..
...and... it is supposed to ( better seen in its other english representation as A U M )... supposed to contain all possible vowel sounds.. and therefore... contains.. in potentiality... all possible sacred scriptures....
..Om mane padme hum... means Hail to the Jewel in the Lotus... which is sort of like... hmmm... like St. Paul saying.. "God places His treasures of gold in vessels of clay"
...in the sense that "us" with our counsciousness... in our body... is like the Lotus.... but within that Lotus... (which is transient).. is a Jewel... (of Dharma, Law, Righteousness, Enlightenment)... which is eternal .
..hmmm.. just made me think of the verse ... "Heaven and earth will pass away... but my words will not pass away".... (quoting from memory.. may be incorrect)
One of the symbolic significances of the Lotus, in Hinduism and Buddhism... is that, though it grows up out of muddy water... the flower itself is untainted by the mud from which it came,... and water which falls on it runs right off,.. i.e. it has non-attachment, renunciation
One must remember that Sidhartha Gautama, the Historical Buddha... was like a Martin Luther (German Protestant Reformation).. of his time... protesting against the established Vedic Hindu religion of his time
Yes ... except where I quote from Meher Baba.... or Old/New Testament... and I try to cite sources of quotations
But... you see. .. these were all on-line chats I had in yahoo and America On Line... and I cut and paste and save in word documents
Thanks.. ... but... I just... do my thing..... im like Popeye the Sailorman "I yam what I yam and thats all that I yam" (toot toot)
Actually... I am really just repeating things,... concepts,.. that I have encountered in my life... and , perhaps recombining them in slightly different ways... which might seem novel
I tell people that I am "an old parrot, whose cage has been in some interesting parlours"
Yes.... Nagarjuna and the Void... ive heard something about that... but ... SUCH FULLNESS IN THAT VOID...
