Sitaram: A Hindu Dream - seeing God Page 1 Hi... this is my new Geocities page.. I got 11 meg free... I still have my EOL 2 meg page... but this one has more pictures... especially a neat one of the Buddha... a moving picture
WellWishing: Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh thank you for sharing it :))))))))
Sitaram: ;-)
WellWishing: I like the format you have used...very informative
Sitaram: Oh... you are looking at it now....
Sitaram: Do you have speakers... can you hear the music
WellWishing: Yes I have speakers but it is loading slow
Sitaram: Yes... thats the problem... it loads slowly
Sitaram: Do you know which browser you are using is it microsoft netscape....
WellWishing: Well depends on net activity too
WellWishing: IE Explorer
Sitaram: Yes... but those sound files are so big
WellWishing: LOL well they need there advertising too lol
Sitaram: Oh I realize ads are necessary... they say if I pay $6 per month.. I get 25 megs of space (instead of the free 11) and no advertisements
WellWishing: You must have spent hours working on this site
Sitaram: Can you hear the music yet ?
WellWishing: No not yet
Sitaram: Two weeks ago... or maybe three... I didnt know anything about html... but someone in WAHOO chat... told me some basics.. and an on-line tutorial on html (there are a number available)
WellWishing: Ahhhhhhhh there it is :)))))))))))
Sitaram: So I have been working 12 and 16 hours per day for 2 or three weeks.... well not all on html.... some is just chating in WAHOO and EOL... and collection the religious dialogues
WellWishing: The music really works up the spine doesn't it? like it
WellWishing: That is an intense effort
WellWishing: sometimes that takes more time surfing to find just what you want I applaud your work
Sitaram: did you scroll down and see the neat picture of buddha
WellWishing: yes I like that
WellWishing: will you be adding to all the other pages too?
Sitaram: some of the other dialogues... after page 2... are sometimes abrasive... arguments.. with christians or moslems who criticize hinduism and buddhism
Sitaram: but... many young hindus... in this country.. are confused.. and are made to feel unclean.. by these criticisms... and one of my goals... is to show people that Christianity.. and Islam have many similarities to Hinduism and Buddhism... and have weaknesses which could be criticized
WellWishing: no room to critize what others believe am still learning what I believe and how to apply it to my life :)
Sitaram: when I published my argument with a moslem... in back of my mind.. I wondered whether I might wind up being assassinated..... there is a slim possibility of such a thing
WellWishing: the weakness is in the human form not in the belief
WellWishing: Fear is a big enemy of faith...
Sitaram: you see in my mind.. its not so much a matter of criticizing... its a matter of self-defense... when on is under sever attach.... and especially young people need to see that there is nothing wrong with the faith of their ancestors... which is actually more ancient...
Sitaram: not that there is anything wrong with xtianity or islam...but they are all subject to the same criticisms as hinduism and buddhism....
Sitaram: if one searches for similiarities one will find similarities... if one searches for flaws... on will find flaws.... I also try to include positive things which I see in each religion
WellWishing: yes I believe that too I believe there is really only one true religion and that is the Love they all speak of Love for each being and respect for them I am but a part of the whole and everyone is my sister and brother
Sitaram: yes... I intend to add other dialogues... as I have them... and capture the text with cut and paste
WellWishing: ahhhhhhhhhhhhh good way to save time
Sitaram: I feel the same way you do... If one person has a particular devotion to Lord Jesus.... why cant their neighbor have a particular devotion to Lord Krishna.... or the Buddha.. without everyone saying... Oh mine is the Truth.. and yours is the Lies of Satan and evil
Sitaram: what is a good way to save time... you mean cut and paste
WellWishing: yes cut and paste sorry had a screen locking up in email
Sitaram: my screen locks like that too
WellWishing: hopefully someday soon person by person this world with learn respect
WellWishing: but the most each of us can do is apply that to our own lives, and like you make an effort...
WellWishing: to teach if someone is willing to learn
Sitaram: I wanted to explain to you why there are dialogs which seem "negative"... that "negative" dimension is part of interfaith as well
WellWishing: it is up to each individual to learn their own way and all will learn...just a matter of time
WellWishing: yes and with your dialogue you also teach how stunting criticism can be
WellWishing: thank you for sharing it
WellWishing: I am glad I have met you
Sitaram: we must all look at the way we differ from one another, the way we resemble one another... and the common goals and means with all Faiths share
Sitaram: me too
Sitaram: I appreciate email feed back... if you have any... as you read the pages... if you have time and occasion to read
WellWishing: yes I will
Sitaram: would you mind if I change your screen name... to protect anonymity... but if I include this dialogue as page 22... to show.... the purpose of the pages.. and reactions of readers??
WellWishing: I do healing work and understanding perspectives is a great way to reach others
WellWishing: that would be fine
Sitaram: there is something about dialog.. which reveals things that discursive text... monolog... does not reveal.. I think
Sitaram: thanks for your permission
WellWishing: you have my permission :)))))
Sitaram: if we all only talked and communicated... the world would be a better place
WellWishing: yes dialogue shows the exchange of energy and how it is blocked or how it flows
WellWishing: yes and listened with our hearts instead of with our judgements
Sitaram: it is curious too... how.... Ancient Egyptian religion... died out.. and ancient Greek... which were "pantheons"... and yet Hinduism and Buddhism have persisted and flourished.. in the face of many adversities
WellWishing: yes it is
Sitaram: I mean... somehow... if it were not the Divine Will... for there to be certain types of worship... you would think they all would vanish.. with time...
WellWishing: true things don't fade though do they?
Sitaram: and of course the greatest living miracle of all times.. is the ongoing existance and survival of Judaism and the Jews peoples
WellWishing: the "chosen" chosen to learn perhaps?
Sitaram: when two spirits meet... even if separated my miles... even if only words scrolling on a screen.... something ignites... there is an energy....
WellWishing: have faced so much in their experience
WellWishing: there is an energy to everything
Sitaram: I am thinking right now of the last book of the Old Testament... Micah... I think... Chapter 3.... and it says...
Sitaram: "The holy ones converse with one another, and God listens, and writes it in His book".......
Sitaram: The Jews see this "conversation" as the ongoing Talmudic Rabbinical dialogue which has thrived over the centuries...
WellWishing: how lovely we are all holy we are all made by God
WellWishing: some of us just don't choose to reflect that holiness within
Sitaram: as Man wrestles with Righteousness... Like. was it Jacob who wrestled all night with the Angel of the Lord.... hammering out the Scriptures written in the Heart...
Sitaram: and... showing.. in Jewish belief.. that mankind is the ongoing partner with God... in the ongoing process of Creation...
WellWishing: well we are all prone to making the simplest things more complicated unconditional love shouldn't be so hard
WellWishing: we are all partners to all things as we are all part of Creation
WellWishing: this talk has been lovely...I am being called away now...wishing you a lovely day
Sitaram: and.. the Good Samaritan... was actually considered a Heretic in his times... as Samaritans rejected all the Prophetic books... accepting only the Torah... and would not worship at the Temple in Jerusalem but considered only Mt. Horeb sacred.. where Moses received the Laws
Sitaram: bye bye
WellWishing: byeeeeeeeee
