Ramakrishna: Could you meet me on line here now sitaram?
Sitaram: hello
Ramakrishna: Glad to meet you.
Sitaram: Glad to meet you too
Sitaram: Would you like to visit my web page... on Hinduism and other religious topics
Ramakrishna: You are interested in spiritual matters? Yes I would like to visit your web page
Sitaram: http://members.aol.com/sitaram/page001.htm
Sitaram: A Hindu Dream - seeing God Page 1
Ramakrishna: Does it involve money or payment from the visitor - to your web page , I mean?
Sitaram: No... its just my personal web page
Sitaram: Its my way to make friends... and share ideas
Ramakrishna: Thank you and I love you for that
Sitaram: Its easier to type everything ONCE... and give people a URL... than to type over and over
Sitaram: And... you will know everything about me... my beliefs
Ramakrishna: What is nearest to your heart , in sadhana ?
Sitaram: Also... when Christians and Moslems say... what do you believe? I send them there... its easier...
Sitaram: Well... of course... I live very much in the world... I wish I could be a Sanyassin... a renunciate... but perhaps it is not possible for me... given my current nature
Ramakrishna: I am open to all ideas ,and liberal and accommodating . You can be free with me .
Sitaram: On the other hand.... Hindus and many other non-Christian non-Muslim religions are under attack... and young people are confused by missionaries.. so I think such a web page might help as an educational school
Sitaram: I'm sorry.. educational tool (not school)
Sitaram: There is a need for someone to explain certain things about eastern religions to the Christian/Moslem world...
Ramakrishna: What do you mean by "current nature"?
Sitaram: Well.. each of us is born... with a certain nature... into a certain culture..... a certain life... we acquire certain habits...
Sitaram: I am simply saying that if.. tomorrow... someone provided me with a place ... the means... to be a renunciate.. like the photographs of those Sadhus in India in the wonderful photo album "Sadhu"
Sitaram: ... well. perhaps my nature and habits... would cause me to fail at that ascetical endeavor
Sitaram: On the other hand.. perhaps I am doing the best thing by simply remaining "in the world"... and putting such a web page,... and chats... on line
Ramakrishna: Could you share with me what is nearest to your heart as far as spiritual sadhana is concerned?
Ramakrishna: I mean for you personally?
Sitaram: Well... if you will read all of my web site... you will have a better idea.... especially one certain page...
Sitaram: Wait a minute
Sitaram: Have you made any Spiritual Progress? Page 4
Sitaram: Yes.. look at that page...
Sitaram: For the past few years... I have dreamed of spending my last days as an ascetical renunciate...
Ramakrishna: I will visit your web page. But I like to know: At what times are you on the internet, available for one to one talk
Sitaram: But... now that I see the possibilities of.. these on line chats.. and maintaining a web page... to help Hindus.... and Buddhists.. and Jains... and Sikhs.....
Sitaram: Well... I'm in Brooklyn... eastern time
Sitaram: Often I come on line as early as 6:00am
Sitaram: Sometimes I am on quite late at night... early in the morning
Ramakrishna: I like your nature and aspirations
Sitaram: It is also possible to simply send me questions via email
Sitaram: Thank you...
Sitaram: In fact.... sometimes it is better for someone to carefully phrase their questions in email... and for me to ponder... and reply carefully.. thoughtfully.... on-line.. I am "thinking on my feet" extemporaneously
Ramakrishna: I think will be happy with each other's company on the line. I am very much of the same nature as you , I believe
Sitaram: You know.... (I am not a Hare Krishna.. but I respect them) .... but their founder Prahbupad... once said something very interesting... "When I am gone.. you will have my books... and my books ARE BETTER THAN ME....
Sitaram: NAMELY.... if we put our thoughts down in writing... in some ways... our writings become "more us" than we are...
Ramakrishna: You are keen on spiritual progress?
Sitaram: So... in some ways.... if you carefully read my web pages... you will know me much better... than if we simply chat...
Ramakrishna: I will take leave of you for the time being . with love and best wishes, namaste
Sitaram: There is in interesting old Indian proverb or saying... both the cow.. and the snake... drink water.... and it is the same water that they drink....
Sitaram: But one produces milk.. the other produces venom
Sitaram: So... life.... human life... existence.... is the same for all
Sitaram: But a Hitler... a Ravanna... produces venom from that water
Sitaram: A Ramakrishna... a Gandhi... a Mother Theresa... produces milk
Sitaram: Paramahamsa... the great swan... who separates milk from water (and venom) in the ocean of Samsara
