One day, in Tretia Yuga (Age), Lord Ram and Mother Sita were walking through a dense forest (they were in exile for 14 years from Lord Ram's kingdom of Ayodiya)... when they came upon a clearing, with Holy Men (ascetics) in a state of deep meditation....
Because the holy men were on a high spiritual plane... they instantly recognized Lord Ram.... as Avatar of Lord Vishnu.. as Bhagwan... the source of every Goodness, Every Truth,,.. Every Beauty..... so with one voice... they exclaimed and petitioned "Oh... Lord Ram... grant us our fondest wish"..... and Lord Ram.. who can never denie his Devotees said...
"Why certainly... and what might that be?".....
The Holy Men exclaimed..... "Since your are Lord,... all things are possible to You.. and since you are a King,... many wives are permitted for you.....so please transform us all now into women NOW... as beautiful as Mother Sita.. and then take us all AS YOUR WIVES... so we too may know the bliss of total union with you...!"
So, Lord Ram answered.... "In this Incarnation... as Ram.... I am Maryam Purshottam.. that is .... Divine Personality under the bondage of Dharma, Law, Righteousness..... so to Me there is permitted in this Incarnation only one wife... Mother Sita...
But I promise you all now, that when , in the coming age of Dvapari Yuga... I am Incarnated as Lord Krsna. ... Who will be Pushti Puroshottam... the Divine Personality as Grace.... then... ALL OF YOU will be reborn as WOMEN... and you will all be my WIVES...
...and in Dvapari Yuga (Age)... when Lord Krishna appeared as Avatar... all of those Holy Men were reborn as GOPIS.. and were married with Lord Krsna in the Rasalila Dance....
So.. we must remember.. that ... from birth to birth... we are born sometimes as male.. sometimes as female... sometimes as human... sometimes as animal.... but in the Mood of the Soul (atman,jiva) to the Lord the Soul is ALWAYS FEMININE.... always seeking CONJUGAL UNION with the Lord as Bridegroom....
