This section is under construction and was last altered February 21, 2001. I'll soon be adding more information, including more pictures, more about fire, more plants, and links.
In the Lodge you can learn about wilderness survival techniques. Maybe you want to learn more about how indigenous societies live, try to live off the land, save money on groceries, become less dependent on your supermarket and job, be prepared "just in case", learn more about the medicinal herbs you see sold everywhere these days, laugh at the people on "Survivor", or just have fun on camping trips. In any case, you can probably learn something here.
Learn how to build a shelter , find and purify water , forage for useful plants, and start and build fires. While you learn and experiment, remember to have respect for your local environment and take care not to alter it more than you need to.
The information in these pages is accurate to the best of my knowledge, but I make no guarantees about its accuracy, nor do I take responsibility for any damage or injury caused by use or misuse of this information.
Many thanks to John Fishback, Del Hall's Nature Awareness School, Moonwatcher , and everyone else who helped me learn about wilderness survival. I'll post a list of links, books, and other resources soon.
