Shultz & Devault Families

 I originally put the Shultz/s and the Devault/Davault/Dawalt databases online at WorldConnect along with the message that for the most part I was not researching many of the lines and had no further information. I still received an enormous amount of emails inquiring if I had any more information. Since I couldn't keep up with all the emails, I've had to remove the databases from WorldConnect. If you feel you might have a connection to these family and would like to see the information that I have, you can download the GEDCOMs. (Note: The GEDCOMs are zipped for faster downloading. The lines that I am researching (and I'm interested in any additional info. on) are:

1. William Devault & Catherine Gross -- William Abraham Devault, parents unknown, was born abt. 1775 in Washington County, VA. Catherine Gross, daughter of Jacob & Sabina Gross, was born about 1778 in Rockingham County, VA. William & Catherine lived in Claiborne County, TN.

2. Henry Dawalt & Elizabeth Gross -- Henry Dawalt, son of Henrich Devault and Marie Catherine Graever/Geaver, was born January 1, 1774 in Hanover, PA. Elizabeth Gross, daughter of Jacob & Sabina Gross, was born October 10, 1776 in Rockingham County, VA. Henry & Elizabeth lived briefly in Sullivan County, TN before moving to Washington County, IN.

3. Jacob Shultz Sr. & Mary (Anna Marie) Gross -- Jacob Shultz Sr., son of Martin (Johan) Shultz Dr. and Julianna Stentz, was born abt. 1767 in Tryon, NC. Mary Gross, daughter of Jacob & Sabina Gross, was born abt. 1772 in VA. Jacob & Mary in the Sullivan / Claiborne County, TN area.

4. David Giesler & Nancy M. Gross -- David Giesler, son of Adam Gielser and Mary Ann Devault, was born July 13, 1816 in Sullivan County, TN. Nancy M. Gross, daughter of Jacob Gross Jr. and Sarah Farrington, was born August 15, 1820 in Sullivan County, TN. David & Nancy lived in Sullivan County, TN.
