First, I bequesath my soul to God who gave it. Second, I will that my beloved wife Winnefred Gross to have my house and lot on which I now live in McMinneville and all the furniture therein. At the death of my wife, the house and furniture to be divided btween my four daughters: Rutha Jane Gross, Sally Francis Gross, Nancy Josephine Gross, and Abba Elizabeth Gross, to them and their heirs forever. 3rd, I bequeth to my son Adam Gross one town lot in McMinnville where he now lives. 4th, I bequesth to my two sons Asa C. Gross and Murphy Gross, a lot in McMinnville between where Smith J. This census lists Major F. as a Dry Goods Merchant, and it shows him as the person who took the census. Article in the Confederate Veteran, Vol.37, Nashville, Tenn, 1929 lists Major Frank Hull as a grandson of Benjamin Hull who was a bodyguard to George Washington.
