WHY DID THE GANGRELS LEAVE THE CAMARILLA?
The Gangrel left the Camarilla in the Summer of 1999. All the infos are given in the Clan Novels: Gangrel and Ventrue.
It happens in the Adirondacks, near Buffalo. A few gangrels have called a meeting of the clan because they were in danger... They had found the resting place of a powerfull creature. Fortunatly, a lot of Gangrel was protecting the city of Buffalo, they thought that this little problem could be managed in a few time, so, Xaviar himself (Justicar Gangrel) came with 25 others of his clan to destroy the monster...... but this thing was so powerfull (a kindred controlled by an ravnos mathusela) that he destroyed all the gangrels. Xaviar and a young kindred survived, crippled.
Then, Xaviar went in Baltimore to find the help of the prince Garlotte, the archon Theo Bell, the prince Marcus Vitel, the ventrue Jan Pieterzoon... But no one responded to his call... Xaviar thinks he fights an antediluvian. As no one in the Camarilla wants to help him in his fight, he has decided after the conclave in Baltimore to leave the Camarilla and to fight alone with all his clan...
