I just read "Chaos Factor", I thought Ennoia was the Gangrel Antediluvian, and who is Ashur?!?
In the crossover chronicle called 'The Chaos Factor', there was a powerful vampire called Shaitan who claims to be a 'Childe of Ashur'. He tells a story of betrayal, claiming Gangrel as the 4th childe of Ashur.
Ashur is believed to be one of the names used by Cappadocius, and some believe he sired the Baali leader known as Shaitan. This claim, along with the story, would make Gangrel a 4th generation Cappadocian. The *author* of Chaos Factor said it was not supposed to be Gangrel, but Giovanni who was the 4th childe of Ashur. However, Shaitan's story is of events that happened over 1500 years ago, and this would make the Giovanni bloodline far older than other claims. The editor changed it from Giovanni to Gangrel, 'cause, well, it started with "G" too.' In other words, IT WAS A WRITER'S ERROR CAUSED BY NOT KNOWING THE TIMELINE. Gangrel was not suspose to appear in the original story and is not a childe of Cappadocius.
