This story started out as part of a series that was supposed to be based on the memories and dreams of members of the Collins family trapped in a snow storm at the Old House. That project fell through and this story led to a sequel, The Angel of Eagle Hill, and from there led to a full length novel about Quentin Collins and what happened to him after he left Collinsport.

The saga just grew and grew. It's still a work in progress with about half of it completed.
