My Life as a Theta

I am a Kappa Alpha Theta in the Zeta Kappa Chapter at the University of South Carolina.

Here are the Thetas! This picture was taken at Parent's Celebration 1998.

Some Theta Facts:
Colors: Black and Gold
Symbols: the black and gold pansy, kites, penguins
Founder's Day: January 27, 1870
Date founded at USC: January 27, 1990

Right now I have the office of Sorority Council Delegate. I attend Sorority Council meetings Mondays at 5pm. I then go to our chapter meetings and fill in all my sisters with what was discussed. We just reslated offices for the next year and I will be the new member educator. I am really excited about this office. I will be in charge of all of the new members that we get and teach them about Theta. I am also the Dance Marathon Liason for my chapter. I am in charge of recruiting our girls to do Dance Marathon. We already have more participating for 2000 then we did in 1999. I am really excited about Dance Marathon so expect to hear from me soon!

Here I am with my big sis, Andrea. This is my little sis, Paula, and me at Fall Rush 99.

We participate in a number of activities. Here is a list of just a few:

  1. Dance Marathon (see picture below)
  2. Homecoming
  3. Greek Week
  4. Theta's Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest
  5. Sigma Chi's Derby Days

Dance Marathon!

Here we are at Dance Marathon 99. We were the only group to stay the entire 28 hours. All of the money raised supports the Children's Miracle Network.
