Not a very big entry today, lots of work I need to do. I went over to the "Col."s last night and we looked through a LOT of pictures, I literally came home with probably 100-150 pics or so. The tough part won't be deciding what to and not to put on the site, but rather figuring out exactly who, what, where and when they come from. Sounds like a good excuse to get a bunch of friends together with a few bottles of vino!
Today I'm just going to get started scanning them and putting them onto CDs. I don't have a scanner for my puter, but my roommate does and he's gone for the day, so while I have a couple hours before I need to go to work, I can get a bunch done and get it out of the way without being IN the way! CDs are just as cool as DVDs, btw, and we all know how much I love DVDs, right?? CDs are, what, less than a buck a disc? And I can fit so much info on just one!
Did some catching up on emails with old friends and others that I should've done a couple weeks ago, so I'm actually having a productive morning. I could finish cleaning or even wash some dishes, but where's the fun in that, right?
Oh, and as a little postscript (well, not to you, but I finished this and posted it, then remembered I wanted to add this in, so it's a postscript to me, dammit! You're all on thin ice!! And I've got the blowtorch!!! Okay, better now...........sorta), does anyone out there have a suggestion on how I can lose the whole big list of dates along the side? They keep making the entire page bigger, and my meager little entries seem SO much smaller by comparison. I know that grouping them by month would be the best way. When I started this site, I had a page that I linked all the past entries to, but I couldn't figure out a way to remove every single link from the sidebar! Anyone with an idea, send help quick! |
