Well, got home from my trip to Antietam and Harpers Ferry and everything was great! I go on these trips twice a year with a group from the college that I went to (see Yankee Doodles' sister site(s)), and I do a little part of the instruction each time. At Antietam I always do Sedgewick's attack on the West Woods and this time I finally nailed it. No nervousness because it was the first time, no misinformation from the 'Col'. I blocked it all out and actually made sense for a change!
The trip itself went smoothly and quickly, our bus driver is AWESOME!!! He makes the trips in no time and even when he gets lost while trying to make up a shortcut he has no clue about, it's still a load of fun! ("Hey Chuck, don't break out the map!"; "Hey Chuck, where's the GPS say Harper's Ferry is now" "It's about 13 miles that way" 'that way' being a different direction every time') You gotta feel bad for the poor convenience store clerk who sees this big-ass bus pull in to ask for directions *laf*
Anyhow, we got home with so much time to spare that I went out and saw "Enemy at the Gates" last night. Great movie, highly recommend.
Well, hopefully you all will see this soon, I can't get onto fortune city tonight, so I'm doing this in wordpad. Not that getting into the editor in FC is any great surprise, but for some reason there's four journal pages marked with the dates I was gone that are on the sidebar of the pages, but I can't seem to get on them. Some kind of bug I suppose, I never installed this webpage blocking software. I suppose I just have to take it out since I can't figure out the password. Funny too that I can't get onto any sites that give information on how to make 'kitty stew'. Oh well, I'll figure it out later. |
