Well, at least the weather made a decision - snowed hard for awhile last night and it's still snowing now, though just barely. Welcome to western New York!!

So Frank Thomas finally reported to the White Sox spring training camp. What a frickin' whiner. "I'm only making 10 million dollars a year for the next 6 years, woe is me." This is one of the things that's wrong with baseball right now. The man signed a ten year contract back in '97, had a couple crappy years in a row, didn't offer to give any money back, has one good year again and suddenly decides that his contract isn't good enough because it's not as high as a few other guys' have become in the intervening 3 years. What a greedy jackass. Hey Big Hurt, why don't you come do my job for th 25-30k a year I'll make, I'll do yours for the 10 million. Let's see how much you whine about your measly 10 million then.

I'm not bitter about this at all. Noooooooooooooooo sir!

Movie night ended up being a chick flick called "Class of '61". I don't have a problem with chick flicks, I like quite a few of them, actually, but this was also a Civil War movie. Oh my GOD I wanted to tear the throats of the makers out with my bare hands! This movie SUCKED! The West Point scenes were so not what West Point was like at the time, the few battle scenes that there were in it were the absolute worst! Just as an example, at one point at least a company of men (you see at least 50-60 guys) are attacking their enemy's lines, and the guy in the front of them all (the brother of one of the central characters), who is carrying the unit's flag (flag bearers were generally the first men killed in battle), is THE ONLY MAN LEFT ALIVE and still running at the enemy lines! Out of 50 guys, minimum, this one guy, the most likely to be killed, is running all by himself! No one is retreating, no one is crawling around or rolling around moaning, the rest are ALL DEAD! And then, to top it off, the other side stops shooting and starts cheering. Right. Whatever. I cheered when an officer rode up behind the lines and shot the kid himself! Thank God! Then, to top it all off, one of my friends tells me that Thomas (Stonewall) Jackson is her "favorite General" from the Civil War!!!! OH MY DEAR GOD _DO NOT!!!!_ GET ME STARTED ON JACKSON!!!

Okay, I have to go now, must break things! See you tomorrow!
