Well, here it is, entry number 1!! The first in a long (or not-so-long) line of entries! Now if only I had something to write here!!

Okay, okay, I can up with something, I'm sure. This whole idea was, of course, inspired by a good friend of mine (you'll soon see I have few/no original ideas of my own). I've been reading her online journal for quite awhile now and keep thinking it might be a cool idea to start one of my own and voila! (Note to self: stop mentioning that it's here, I think whoever's reading it can figure that part out.)
At any rate, you all need to celebrate with me the coming of baseball season once again. No, that's not a request or a suggestion, but a 'duh, you should already be doing so!' Yankees training camp opened on the 14th, which I hear was some holiday, but I don't quite remember what it was besides the opening of training camp!
In case you couldn't tell yet, I'm a HUGE Yankees fan and an even bigger baseball fan. And yes, I do think that all the contracts today are absolutely ludicrous, even the 'bargain' that my boy Derek Jeter got. If you want to see real baseball, pure baseball (applies to any sport, actually, but baseball is the only good one), go out this summer and find a little league game, or, even better, find a bunch of kids just playing unorganized somewhere. That's where you'll actually see the joy of the game manifest itself.
Hey! What do you know, I actually said something. Well, since I _do_ need to get ready for work at some point, and I've only set up about half of this site, I better go see what I can't do about finishing it up today and getting it out there for noone to see! |
