Here is where you get a peek into the life of the one and only Savage Penguin! :) (Latest entries at the bottom)

march 16th 2003. It's me of course. I can't believe how outdated most of the stuff on here is!!! It's been nearly one year since I've updated anything. I feel like such a slacker! Not to mention I an't type!! hehehe.

Nothing intersting happening today. It was sunny then it was cloudy and it rained for 5 minutes before hailing for 3 minutes. Now it's just gray outside. It makes me want to listen to this song by Lucky 7 called "Gray Summer Day" except it's not summer here ytet. The song goes something like this:

"Another summer day turns gray, and I don't know what to do / Searching for just any way / to turn my skies to blue, sitting in my room. . ./ Will the stars not shine for me / And feed my starving eyes? / I'm drowning in a lone dark sea / Gray summer day /Won't leave me alone / If I can't even dream, why bother / To hold my breath while the clouds won't move on / Gray summer day won't leave me alone..."

Anyhoo I'm pretty bored. I should add more pictures, more of something fun. I think I'll begin by adding music to the site, when it's possible. Right. I think I'm out, to play minesweeper or something, heh. auf wiedersehen...

-Erin(aka savage penguin)

17 March 2003: Nothing new today. It's not raining! yay! (I just realized... that rhymes, eek!) :) Tomorrow is tour of the schools. I remember that it's been exactly one year, or close enough, since we did that last year and how unprepared I was. :) I guess it's got me thinking about how time passes so quickly! I can't believe the school year is already ending... it seems as if it's just started. WHen I think about it, last year was, hmm, hectic! This year is a lot more laid back and easygoing. Which is weird for me because I always feel I have my nose stuck in some sort of textbook so I can have a future. But you know what? This means I'm determined to make my senior year the most fun and most memorable as possible! :)

Well I'm out, I will write back later!

-savage penguin

19 March 2003: Well another day, blah blah! It began raining and I found that I actually liked it. In spite of CNN blasting on the TV about the upcoming war, they were COUNTING DOWN THE MINUTES... I found that it was nice just to step outside the box for a minute and think about something else. ANYWAY! (I am talking to Amanda and there was this lull in the conversation so she said "So I said, Hey, thats MY potato!" I thought it was funny, hehehe) I wonder if I have any homework, and if I should be doing it. I haven't done any since I got home.... Well talking to Ben and Amanda and some other person who says he is Andrews friend and can't keep up!! so I will write or type, later!

Hugz, the savage penguin

21 March 2003: Well I am pretty bored about now, I am sitting in chemistry class, 5th per. Just chillin! I had about a half an hour left in class and I didn't know what to do so I decided to get on the Internet instead of take notes for an exam. Smart, eh? :P Hmm well while I am doing this other people are sitting around chilling as well, playing computer games, or watching war coverage on the tv. I find that I'm a little bit divided on the war subject, but if I had to choose I would say that I'm supporting the war. I mean, think about it- as president you are responsible for the whole country, and going to war is a big decision. I think that President Bush thought about it enough, and he made the right decision. That's why I'm going to help Nikki with her support our country rally. I may have been the only one to offer help, but it doesn't bother me to have a minority opinion. CHeck in later...

22 March 2003: Well it's raining again! I didn't mind though, it was kinda nice! Today I went and helped out somewhat with the sound at the region spelling bee... I had totally and completely forgotten for a period of time that the nationals existed... Then I got to thinking, "Oh my gosh, it's 2003... It's been nearly 3 years since I did that!!" It was quite weird, but this is my third year helping out there... I would have at least thought that maybe I would have remembered something... anyway! It was like 4 HOURS LONG and I had to sit there and watch and watch and wonder "Man I really had a lack of a life back then!" Even though it was worth it in the end. :) Aanyhoo! Hmm... what else is there to clutter up this space with???! Oh yeah! I went and saw Daredevil with Andrew yesterday :) And it's a good movie! Everyone should go and watch it! Well I'm still bored so I'll go work on other parts of this stupid thing called a website, heh.

I'M OUT!!! -Erin

27 March 2003: I haven't updated in a few days now... I'm slacking off! How sad. I'm trying to type on these school keyboards but I'm not so used to them yet. It's different! :P AAANYHOO! I'm supposed to be doing something constructive but.... knowing me... nope! Bwaha.

Slowly but surely the penguins are stealing all of my sanity. When they came to visit they told me all about the far away Floofar people in Yemen. THey said because of their unusually short height they were under seige... the evil chicken forces from ... no! bell.. gotta run! ERIN

8 April 2003: HOLA! Been awhile since I have been here... how sad, I feel like a major slacker. Bwah. I even forgot the rest of my entry from last time, that I meant to post eventually. But since I don't remember I will tell you all about the fun trip I went on with the band over the weekend!

OK. So we went to Great America, which is in Santa Clara. Of course we got lost, if we didn't we'd be weirderer, right? right. So when we got there we all just kinda walked around, chilled, goofed off and all that. We even took a butt picture.. you don't wanna know!!! :-)ANYHOO! So then some of us went back to the hotel and chilled there at the pool, later we explored the place and ... erm... well let's just say Amanda and Ben and I had a lot of fun on the elevators with ice, and that we memorized which floors to stop at if we needed more icy goodness! :-) It was fun!! :-) And then the next day we went to Pier 39 in San Francisco(Where Darren lives!!!!!!!) and we went shopping and got our pictures taken with Forrest Gump and there was a magic show. It was funny because I got to go up and help chop carrots! :-P hehe...

Well no word from the Floofar people yet. I just hope they haven't been wiped out yet... those stupid chickens!

I should get going... I'm bored! :)

Hugz! Erin

16 April 2003: HAPPY BIRTHDAY MEGHAN!!! She is 16 today! :) I'm on spring break, at my aunt's house in burbank, ca. Talking to my friends online, and having fun.... I GOT A NEW PET!!!! It's a rat named Coconut, and Meg has one named Coconut too... hahaha. Well I'm just checkin in, saying HI and whatnot. Will probably check in before break's over.... TOODLES!

Hugs, ERIN

4 May 2003: Hello again, it's been awhile... I guess with school, testing and all, and just getting on with life... it takes time!! :) Well not much to post I guess... today's been uneventful, I've been putting off studying for AP exams because I know that when I do, I'll start flipping out and thinking I won't pass!! So instead I've been watching movies, playing with Coconut, and I braided all my hair up again...was going to go outside but yesterday and today it's been storming... although for the past few hours it's been just cloudy... Dude. It's flipping MAY and it's not HOT yet! This is a bit unusual, and I'm hoping that for parade this month it won't rain, but I don't want it to be a hundred degrees either...with our uniforms it's NOT fun, hehehehe. :) Hmm... I'm trying to think of what else I can put in here... I'm thinking maybe just put in more pictures and stuff, maybe some quotes, and maybe add a section for other stuff.. IDK. I think maybe I should just look and see what needs to be done :) It's all good... well check in lata!

Hugz, SP

6 May 2003: Added the Happy Tree Friends theme song to the home page :) Heeheehee it's a funny song :) :) :) ANYWAYZ! Took the AP English Lang. exam today.... what a pain that was!!! OH well at least we all survived!!! :) ANYWAYZ I'm going to go add, edit, and all that fun stuff :)

Hugz, SP

9 May 2003: YAY! Today we took the AP US History Exam.... and we survived! :) Tomorrow is the Cottonwood parade.... I'm afraid we might be a bit disorganized but hey it's going to be good anyway :) OH! I meant to pur this in TWO days ago... HAPPY 31st BIRTHDAY DARREN HAYES!! :) Well I'm off to find more fun stuff for websites, be back later!

Hugz, SP

PS: My name, bestowed to me by the divine secrets of the ya ya sisterhood site is Empress Cold Shower. ?????????

16 May 2003: I am quite bored. Nothing to do in Chem class so I am sitting here updating my website. Will check in later... parade tomorrow and will see Matrix Reloaded!

Erin

19 May 2003: I be bored! it is 8:41 PM Pacific Time and I have just finished watching two new episodes of Happy Tree Friends... which were not as impressive as I had hoped but altogether not bad :) Hee hee... am listening to "Iris" by the GooGoo Dolls.... great song, people. Am somewhat tired, am ready to just ...sleep. Yay, minimum day tomorrow... means can come home early and CRASH!!(And burn, for all you SG fans..) And speaking of SG... My post was put up for Darren! :) Happy Birthday again, you old fart.... just kidding!! You are totally awesome and I think you are so talented!!!(And thanks for not singing in a G-string, LOL!!!!!!!) ANYWAYZ!!! It is possible that I may go see an awesome concert int he next month or two.... either that huge one in San Fran, with people like Foo Fighters, Transplants(both are great live), AFI, White Stripes, The Donnas, and a huge lineup... or I could go see Train, which would also be SWEET!!! :) But not sure yet... Well I think I'm out... time to crash...(and burn, for all you SG fans)... hmm.... deja vu.... ;)

hugz, savage penguin

23 May 2003: Yippee! It's finally hit over 95 degrees! Helloooooo lake! :) :) :) It's almost the end of the year... and then comes the summer! :) :) :) I'm in this great mood all of a sudden; there's awesome weather outside, an I'm listening to fun music... what else is there to enjoy? I'm so excited! Next month my cousin is getting married... the wedding is here in the Redding area, and my cousins Meg and Naomi are coming up to visit! It's going to be great!!! Hmm what else is good right now? I'm learning flute... it's intersting... but it's not gonna replace the ol sax! ;) Well I'm off to go have fun... tschus!! :)

Hugz, ~SP!~

28 May 2003: Boredness is taking over. I have decided that frozen mochas are the best wakeup method and that penguins are essential toa good night's sleep. The pygmy Floofar of Yemen are free from the evil Chicken forces from Nebraska... yes it was a new invasion and I apologize for not keeping up to date with international affairs. Anyway, the point is you no longer have to worry about them- they have been offered a new life from war-torn Yemen and are now residing happily in the backwoods of Escanaba, Michigan(Dat's just nort of da bridge, fer dose of you dat don't know nuttin'!) In other news, everyone go and buy "Elephant" by the White Stripes. I should too but I'm a procrastinator. Am thinking of adding a section to the site over the weekend, an Escanaba In Da Moonlight page. Most people wouldn't understand it but hey it's ok. Well I suppose I should get going. I'm supposed to be working, it's 9:18 AM Wednesday and I'm in the middle of my AP history class. Welcome to the 80's. I'll leave you with the annoying song for the day: "I'm a dude, he's a dude, she's a dude, we're all dudes, HEY!"

29 May 2003: I am bored. In history class... trying to keep up w/NSB!!! GO JJ!!! (I think that JJ Goldstein is going to win this year . . . YAY!! :) ) Anywayz, I'm sitting here because I have nothing to do for my history project and there is absolutely nothing else to do..... all other class hw is done... blah. The Floofar have set up their own government, and however primitive it may be I congratulate them on their strong efforts at getting back on their... feet? Or not. I wish them nothing but the best in their quest to... whatever it may be. Guten morgen, haben sie eine guten tag, und tschus.

Aloha, SP

1 June 2003: Slightly bored... tired... just checking in for fun... kinda... well... yeah. Been reading most of the day, haven't been very energetic... the book I've been reading is called "The Kitchen God's Wife" by Amy Tan. I've read very little of her wok but this book is really good... it takes a few pages or so to get into but it's worth it. Decided on going to summer school... yay... well I guess I have little else to day so I'm gonna go edit some other aspects of what is supposed to be a website...

Tschus, SP

13 June 2003. BORED. It is summer vacation, and I am out of school for now... I guess you could say I'm not a junior anymore, I'm a senior, but tonight is the real graduation so then after class of 2003 graduates, we move in for the kill!!! (bwahaha!) :) I can't believe that high school is almost over... Helloooo real world... I guess. Well I have very little to say, I think I'll get some things done around here... so not in the mood for any of this though! Too much to worry about, it should be summer vacation, not summer sequel to stressorama...

20 Sept 2003:
Well I've begun the wonderful road to fixing up my site a little bit. I'm going to eventually replace some of the broken pictures, and maybe position things a little differently. I put some cool stuff on the main page, so it's kinda cool. Today was pretty uneventful, but I did watch Drumline in spanish hehehe. It was pretty weird. Other than that, I've been listening to music & chatting online today. Basically trying not to stress about not doing well in school this year despite working my bum off....
I'm out.

23 Sept 2003:

6 October 2003:
Well it's another Monday, and 6:50 PM. What to do. I should be doing homework but I an't seem to bring myself to that... it just seems so dull. I should really be working on my AP Bio project or studying for the exam in that class... but no. The book is in the locker. BLAH. Bad weekend, boring week so far. What to do, what to do. Nobody's really online, blah de blah. I did get a new buddy icon today though... it's Captain Jack Sparrow, and it moves a bit. Was going to see that movie again with Andrew on Saturday but that kinda didn't work out. Blast. I feel bad about that, too... I hate to disappoint people, you know? But anyhoo... I guess I should get going, get offline, and do my homework, something productive. Hah, that's funny, me: produtive. :) :) :) Well other than that... we got senior junk today. Scholarship information, graduation stuff, etc. Senior year is gonna be so incredibly weird... college next year, etc. anyhoo. should get going.
toodles

26 October 2003:
Wow, you know how sometimes people have these dreams that kind of "predict" things that happen are are happening at the moment? Last night I had this dream about fire... there are a lot of fires lately, and in my dream there was a fire and we(being me and other people in my dream that i don't remember) had to leave everything... this morning my sister e-mailed me to tell me that my aunt had to leave her house because five others on her street burned down because of the big fires in southern CA... it's kinda freaky ya know! It's happened before, too. Once I had a dream that I was helping clean up after 9-11 and I was supposed to look for jewelry with the victims' names on them, for identification. A week later, in the mail, my dad got this package with a bracelet on it... on the bracelet there was the name of a 9-11 victim on it and you are supposed to wear it and pray for the victim's family. That was creepy. Then a looong time ago I had this recurring (yet funny!) dream where we were eating Thanksgiving dinner and this earthquake hit.. the funny part was that there was funny music playing in the background and it was really funny heheh. Then of course I think a year later on Thanksgiving there were two earthquakes... but of course nobody believed me afterwards when i said I dreamed it! hehe :) Well I gotta go, I'm watching Fuse & chatting & I gotta clean my room... ttyl!
PS! The Anderson game ROCKED!

28 January 2004
WOW. It's been so long since I've been here I almost forgot simple HTML... hehe. Hmmm let's see what's new here? Not too much I guess... I'm in the Air Force, which is cool, my job is to listen in on phone conversations and stuff.... Intel! yay! :) Some people aren't too ecstatic about it though so I"m trying to work that out. I leave on September 21st of this year :) Hmm what else has happened? I made a small part in the school musical, "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" :) I"m trying out for drum major since Amanda may not be coming back... well first she was then now all of a sudden she might not come back.... so confusing! We miss her here though... :-/ Hmmmmmm I know there's more.... newest obsessions? AAR, Atari's, Josh Groban, and I believe the coolest word in the world is "CATERPILLARS!" I don't know. Don't ask.... I'm gonna update my site now. toodles!
Hugs, Erin.
