Our Godless World The East hates the West and everyone Wonders why-- this "great" country of ours, Thinks it's the ruler of the world. Pushing our values on the rest of the world, While we wallow in our own sloth-- our greed, Hunger of wealth, beauty, and fame. "Reality" shows all over TV, saying to our youth, "Don't be happy with who you are"-- "American Idol", "Survivor", "America's Next Top Model", "Greed", & "The Bachelor" All encouraging the shallowness we all live in. Leading the masses to attain the unattainable, And while millions never reach that goal, dreams Are shattered, & there is nothing left to live for. Religious zealousness is a fanaticism of its own, And while human rights are ignored, there is still A lesson to be learned. If just a little of their morals spilled over to our world, putting God back into our godless world, Our contry would once again be great, The way it was meant to be.
