Her mother passes away and she wishes he Was in her place-- she hurts him deeply when She tells him these words, and their rift Grows ever wider. Months pass, & she realizes her father is Growing no younger-- it's time to make amends, Before the final verse comes true. They grow closer, as close as can be for the Two of them, & he shocks her one day, when He tells her freely that he loves her, and that He is proud of who she has become. She is sad that it took all of her life, and Most of his, for him to love her as she is. And while he still wishes she were more Like him, a message spoke silently to his heart, Giving her peace at last.
