This poem is the
opening poem to the "Mind Trip Through Infinity"
collection. This poem sounds cynical and egotistical, but at the
time when this was written, this reflected my state of mind
toward society in general.

To the shallow and mindless, who dare not to think--
take heed. To the wise who understand-- enjoy.

Here I am
I sit here in the cold blue dawn,
Thoughts racing through my mind;
I sit here and ponder,
And then I wonder why...
Here I am, a lowly philosopher;
Me, my pen, and my thoughts.
Deep is my mind, complex is my work--
But who is around to read it?
I speak to a non-existant world--
No one is here to appreciate me.
I speak of Infinity to a world of the finite,
Every effort is a waste of time.
But it is who I am, what I'm here for;
I cannot dispute destiny, turn away my calling.
So here I am-- my thoughts race on;
As people continue on by me.
My pen still writes, my mind still thinks,
Even still thinks, even if no one else does.
