Sandy and I are best buddies!
We don't do anything without each other. We have a great time and have
made some wonderful memories.
Here are some things we like to do together....
Every evening I lay on her lap and sleep while she holds me.
I hate it when she does her 'stitching' (crochet or cross stitch). It doesn't matter if I'm sleeping or playing, the minute she pickes it up, I go sit in front of her. I will look back and forth between her and the stitching until she puts it down. Then I get on her lap and have her hold me.
Sandy is the best back-scratcher! When she sits back on the couch, I will lay across her lap. She will scratch and scratch! Then she will stop and tell me 'Let me get the other side". So I will jump down, turn around and get back on her lap facing the other direction. (well, you have two sides...so do I)
I hate it when she sings! (She really, really can't sing). I like the music on the radio and tv. But when she starts....I run! I will run to another room and she will come in there and start. I have to run and tell mommy and she makes her stop. It's really bad!
Sandy can't do anything without me! I have to watch her because she might do it wrong and I'll have to tell her. I watch her clean and wash the clothes. Sometimes she forgets things and I have to remind her. Like when the washer stops and it's time to put the clother in the dryer.
Sandy always puts my 'dope' (I have to take medicine) in my food. Every once in awhile she will forget and I have to tell her about it. She will set my food down and I will just sit there and look at it. When she asks me why I'm not eating, I go sit at the counter and look up at the cabinet where she keeps my dope. As soon as she puts it in there, I will eat!
I help Sandy do the dishes. She will put a chair beside her at the sink and I will sit up there and watch her wash them.
She has always talked to me alot. I guess that's why I'm so smart and know all of the things that I do! She has always told me what she was doing. So I am very smart and know alot of the things she has to do.
I help her take care of my mommy. She is 87 and very sick. When it's time to take mommy to bed, I will lead the way and show them where the bed is. Then we have to go into the kitchen and get mommy some milk and take it back to her room. In the mornings when mommy gets up, I will lead them into the living room and show mommy where her chair is.
Sometimes my mommy wakes up and Sandy's in the kitchen. So I will sit in the living room and 'tell' Sandy that mommy is up. She will try to get me to come into the kitchen (and normally I would), but when mommy is getting up, I will stay there and keep looking from Sandy to mommy's room, back and forth. Then we help mommy before I will do anything else!
I hate it when Sandy leaves in her car. If it is nice out, I will lay on the porch and wait for her...you couldn't drag me into the house. If it is bad out, I will sit in her chair and watch out the window until she comes home.
She lets me bring my toys to bed.
When I first found out I had CHF, Sandy sat up with me for 5 nights in a row...holding me and taking care of me. She always makes it better.

There are many other things
we do....and will always do. I will add to this from time to time as I
remember things or as they happen.
