Welcome to my recipe page!

My favorite biscuits

1 cup all purpose flour
1 1/2 cups rolled oats (oncooked oatmeal)
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 1/2 cups corn meal
4 Tablespoons garlic powder
1/2 cup oat bran
1/3 cup olive oil
3 Tablespoons honey
1 egg
1 1/4 cups broth or stock (beef, chicken or vegetable)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 2 large cookie sheets, or line with parchment paper. Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl. Add the egg, oil and stock. Mix well to form a soft dough that is firm enough to roll out. On a floured surface, roll out dough to about 1/2 inch thickness. Cut into shapes and place about 1 inch apart on the cookie sheets. Bake for 2 hours, then turn off the oven and let the biscuits sit in the oven until the biscuits are completely cool (this hardens them).

These will keep several months if stored at room temperature.(But you will quickly see that they don't last that long!)

* Use red and green food coloring at Christmastime for an extra special treat! Red for Valentines Day...green for St. Pats Day.... *

Liver Snacks

1/2 cup dry milk
1/2 cup wheat germ
1 teaspoon honey
3 1/3 ounce jar of strained liver baby food
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine dry milk and wheat germ; drizzle honey over the top. Add baby food and stir until everything is well mixed. Form into small balls and place on a well greased cookie sheet and flatten with a fork. Bake 8-10 minutes. They should be fudgy. Store in an air tight jar in the refrigerator...a freezer if you plan on keeping them more than a few days.

* You can also make us different flavors...substitute beef or chicken for the liver baby food *

Thanks for stopping by my recipe page! I'm sure your 'buddies' will enjoy these treats as much as I do! I'm always looking for more goodies...so if you have a good recipe that Sandy can make for me, please send it to me. I would love to try it, and post it here for others to enjoy!
