Duchy of Zeon Mobile Suit
MS-07C-3 Gouf Heavy Arms Type

The Gouf's built-in weapons soon proved to be something of a disadvantage. Unlike the Zaku's hand-held weapons, the Gouf's armament couldn't be swapped out for different missions or environments. As a result, several different versions were produced for specific combat roles and geographic regions. The C-3 type pictured here was used primarily on the European front.

Like the previous C-1 type, this model was outfitted with 85mm machine guns in both hands, plus a 30mm machine gun in its forehead. External magazines on its forearms held extra ammunition, and spare magazines were stored on its hips. The leg thrusters were upgraded to compensate for the extra weight of its heavier armor.

Duchy of Zeon Mobile Suit
MS-07C-5 Gouf Test Prototype

This oddball Gouf variant was in fact a testbed for the next-generation land combat mobile suit, the Zimmad Company's MS-09 Dom. Equipped with extra leg thrusters and armed with a heat saber, the C-5 type was used to gather test data as part of the Dom's development process. Only one was made, and it never saw actual combat.
