Duchy of Zeon Mobile Suit
MS-14B Gelgoog High Mobility Type

Pilot / Johnny Ridden

In the last weeks of the One Year War, 31 of Zeon's best mobile suit pilots were pulled from the front lines and organized into a special "Ace Corps." The newly-formed team was equipped with 24 prototype Gelgoogs, then dispatched to the Corregidor shoal zone to field-test the new mobile suit and experiment with different tactics and equipment. The Ace Corps's membership included veterans like Captain Gerald Sakai, 1st Lieutenant Thomas Kurtz, and the famous "Crimson Lightning," Major Johnny Ridden.

Among the equipment tested by the Ace Corps was the B type Gelgoog, or High Mobility Type, which was equipped with a special booster pack. 12 of the Ace Corps's Gelgoogs were equipped with the B type option, including the one belonging to Johnny Ridden, commander of the 2nd Company. Of the 165 Gelgoogs produced during the war (including 25 prototypes), a total of 67 were of this High Mobility Type.
