I have been able to be on my feet for more than five minutes without them burning and me wanting to have a stiff drink (which of course there has been no booze at all for the last month) I get to head back to the doctor on Wednesday, and I am hoping that they will clear me to go back to work. Not only is it WAY BORING sitting on my ass all day, The dear old bank account is almost empty. They are switching my med's around, and this new drugs side effects include Vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, blurred vision, and the list just goes on. My sugars have come down a bit (am consistently in the 200 - 260 range) now that isn't good in its self, but beats the hell out of the 500's! </B></div> <div> <B>Mom is worried and has threatened to fly down here. I got home from the hospital yesterday. When they admitted me my sugars were at 575. The nurse looked at me and asked why I was still conscious. LOL, well hospital food wasn't that bad, but I slept and sweat the whole time. After being dead for the last four days, today I got out of bed and turned on the computer. Okay yesterday I did get up and go to the doctors, only to be give another "beats me" look. We did get lots of tests done, and will get all sorts of details back this coming Thursday. Here's the poop so far.</B></div> <div> <B>My sugars are whacked. I am needed to shoot up two to three times more that what I was in the past. This could be a cold (which would explain my aches and pains) but never at this level before. Or it could be that what was left of my pancreas has finally shut down, and instead of augmenting the insulin that my body was producing, I now am the sole source of it. We'll know this for sure on Thursday, or the dreaded that perhaps my liver is starting to act up as well, which would also explain some of the aches and the high sugar levels. </B></div> <div> <B>Some choices huh? Our computer system was down, and I got to leave early. Came home made dinner and relaxed. Then there was a "rap, rap, rapping" at my door. Opened it up and there were two police officers there. They asked if they could speak to me, sure.</B></div> <div> <B>They asked where I got my plants on my patio. Huh? What kind of silly question was that, why Lowe's of course! In fact two days ago I got two new spider plants with a ton of babies, and four potted plants by the front door. Now back to the question why are you asking me about plants?</B></div> <div> <B>Well there is a new resident who just moved into the complex, and she had her plants stolen, and she insisted that my plants were hers! But her is the kicker, not the new ones, but one of the older hanging plants that I took down when I hung up the new spider plants! (I had ran out of hooks, so it is hanging off the rail)</B></div> <div> <B>I told them I had  that plant since I moved in, in fact I had it at the old apartment as well. I explained that it used to have my mini gay pride flag in it, and all the neighbors could vouch that the plant was mine, and had been here for quite some time. </B></div> <div> <B>Being good cops (but no one is better than the SAPD ... Waves to Tracy!) they asked if any of these neighbors could vouch. Sure walked across the hall, knocked on the door, and spoke to the ladies across the hall. The cops asked about the plant, pointed it out, and they said that yes it was mine, the one even added that it was the one with my "flag" in it. </B></div> <div> <B>Well that sort of settled that matter. The male cop (Yum, yum, and you all know how I love a man in uniform with handcuffs!) confirmed where I got the new plants, and told them that they should have been here for Christmas and poinsettia central. The female cop had been at this building for something else, and remembered my Christmas decorations, and complemented me on them.</B></div> <div> <B>Now, since this is my site, and these are my thoughts to the woman who called the cops on me here is some advice.</B></div> <div> <B>1) Get to know your neighbors. I am the good guy who bakes cookies, cup cakes, and muffins and passes them around.</B></div> <div> <B>2) If you have an issue address it directly, this was a waste of a police officers time.</B></div> <div> <B>3) Feel free to apologize to me.</B></div> <div> <B>4) Look at my pictures from the last year. The plant in question is in the shots of the house decorated for Christmas BEFORE YOU MOVED HERE, In some general shots with the cats, and in pictures at the old apartment - some six months ago, and unless I have slipped into a temporal displacement field, and time is moving more slowly for me, you are mistaken.</B></div> <div> <B>5) Did I mention that you are free to apologize to me?
