Round 3 of the Toy Bowl Tournament -- one of two games involving the Final Four teams -- brought a rematch of the Number 1 and 2 teams in the Junior Vath Division. The location this time was the same as in the regular season, as was the team: St. Aloysius. Unfortunately for the Junior White team, the result was the same, too: the Juniors were defeated by the Stars 33-20. Teryl James shot a 3-point goal in the second quarter, and Timmy Alfano had two remarkable one-handed layups from underneath the basket in the fourth, but those feats were not enough to overcome St. Aloysius. Despite their loss, the White Team will appear at John Carroll Catholic High School on March 4 to receive its 2nd Place trophy for the regular season.

Highlights:

The Seniors' final game of the regular season was a "three-for-all" against St. Rose with ten 3-point shots scored between the two teams. Jeffrey Musser and C.J. Richerzhagen scored nothing but 3s in the first quarter for the Irish, and Jeffrey continued the string with three more 3-point goals in the second half. John Alfano, Alan Bohannon, and Alec Priola each added three points to the Seniors' score, which included Alan's point from a free-throw shot with one second left in the game. C.J.'s final regular season game as an Irishman was cut short early in the fourth quarter when he fouled out of the game following a questionable call.

The game was played, however, and the score was Bruno B 15, St. Patrick 11. Justin Richerzhagen dropped four baskets and Cody Blankenship and Katie Townsend each were 50% at the free-throw line, adding three points to St. Patrick's score.

JUNIORS:
St. Patrick White vs. St. Mary
Highlights:
Because St. Mary was not present at game time, a forfeit was declared. However, following an appeal by St. Mary to Toy Bowl, it was learned that St. Mary had not received notice of a change in the time of the game (which was originally scheduled to begin one hour later), due to an error by Toy Bowl. Therefore, in fairness to all involved, it was decided by that this game would be discounted, that is, treated as if it were never played. But ... we still give credit to Karissa Handley for dropping the basket on game day!
