TIPS FOR PLAYING/WRITING HARUKA

    Haruka is DEFINATELY a tomboy.  She talks, walks, dresses, and acts like a guy.  She is an excellent race car driver, and loves running and riding on her motocycle.  However, she does do more "girly" things like play the piano and does wear a dress on occasion, but VERY rarely.  She enjoys picking on the inner senshi because they thought she was a really cute guy when they first met her because of her "look", and is just a flirt in general.  She is extremely dedicated to anything she does, and would even sacrifice her close friend and partner, Sailorneptune, if it meant that her duty to guard the Moon Kingdom would be done.

DO NOT

Make Haruka girly.  It's totally against her personality to have her worry about her looks, wear make-up, or wear anything girly, unless it's something a guy would wear that she makes look feminine.

 

Make Haruka overly butch.  No, she was not once a prince, and, no, she does not want to be a prince.  That's Utena ^_^.  However, she is a female who just feels more comfortable with the boys.

 

Confuse Haruka's relationship with Michiru.  In the American dub, the producers/writers make her and Michiru..uh, Amara and Michelle, cousins, which is cool. However, in the original version, they are friends and lovers (yes, they're lesbians).  You can do whatever you want, just don't have them be cousins and lovers at the same time.

 

SPEECHES

 "Protected by Uranus, planet of the skies, I am the soldier of flight, Sailoruranus!"

This is what she says in the movies and in Sailormoon Stars.  I love how it sounds in the SailormoonS movie.  I just love the girl who does Uranus' voice.  It makes her sound like she should be playing left wing for the Toronto Maple Leafs, hee hee.  (well, it also helps that the girl who does her voice is Quebecois, I believe.)

 
ATTACKS AND SUCH (English Equivalent is in english, if it was changed)

• Uranus Planet Power, Make-Up! (Uranus Star Power): Haruka says this to turn into Sailoruranus.

 
• World Shaking!: Sailoruranus says this and raises her hand to the sky.  It gathers golden energy and fire/lava from the ground.  She throws the ball at the ground where it goes faster and gains energy.  It raises up and hits her enemy with the force of an earthquake.

 
• Space Sword Blast: Sailoruranus' attack using her talisman.  She takes her Space Sword and swings it.  Flashes of light shoot out and blast away enemies.

 

Other Attacks, Equipement, and Gadgets

• The Space Sword: This is one of the three talismans needed to make the Holy Grail/Purity Chalice.  The sword is very powerful, made of a golden material, and can pierce anything.  It also slices, dices, and makes julienne fries.  ^_^  The cover is beautiful and decorated with jewels.
