This page is dedicated to my Horse Shy-Anne

How I acquired her: What I did is went to this place where these horses were being starved, and I fed them regularly. I couldn't stand seeing them suffer! I called the State Vet out on the guy that owned them and they didn't do anything about it! After taking care of these beautiful animals the guy signed her over to me.

He no longer has them, ANY of them that is, and he is spending time in a Prison where people like him belong. The picture you see here is a before picture.

When I got her she was the most skinny pathetic looking horse you would see. Starved almost to death, she had ringworm, lice, a wound on her leg that had never been taken care of and was the size of a grapefruit and NO energy what so ever! She was just two years old and had never been ridden (thank God). I moved her the day after I got the papers to a very clean boarding stable, were she got all the grass hay she could eat for the first month, treated her lice and ringworm, and fixed her leg up. She gained lots of weight and was aloud to have grain now! She began treating me like her security blanket, and I did the same. Finally the day came to ride her, she did great didn't even buck or act crazy even once, she had energy lots of it. There came a day in Feb. 99 that I had no job and the Husband was doing his first job change in 10 years. We could no longer afford to keep her(even though we couldn't afford her, she was still fed and taken care of!) I had to sell her, a thing I wish I could take back now. I also found out when I had the Vet come out before the big selling date that she has arthritis and cant be ridden for long periods of time. He also told me that it was more then likely do to her being starved for too long. I sold her to a very nice older Gentlemen that takes very good care of her! But I TRULY MISS her! Looking ALOT better now!
