Note: This will hold 2 pairs of medium sized eyeglasses or sunglasses. For larger or thicker frames, add 2 more rows to each panel (for a total of 14 rows).
Materials:
1 - 2 oz. ball Sugar N Cream Worsted Weight (or other WW cotton) Yarn
Aluminum Crochet Hook US Size G
Yarn Needle
Skill Level: Intermediate Challenge (you will be using all 3 available loops on foundation chain)
First Panel:
Ch 25
Row 1: Hdc in BACK LOOP ONLY 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across; ch 1 (not counted as hdc), turn.
Rows 2 - 12: Hdc in BOTH LOOPS of each hdc; ch 1, turn. At the end of row 12, fasten off.
Second Panel:
Row 1: Attach yarn with a slst to either unworked loop of foundation ch at either end. Ch 1, hdc in each ch across; ch 1, turn.
Rows 2-12: Work as for rows 2-12 of first panel.
Third Panel:
Row 1: Attach yarn to last unworked loop of foundation ch at either end and work as for second panel. At the end of row 12, fasten off leaving an 18" sewing length.
Finishing:
Thread sewing length into yarn needle and whipstitch open long side and one end of ALL 3 LAYERS together. Embellish as desired, making sure to use materials that will not scratch your lenses.
