Many thanks to the Recording Industry Association of America and Atlantic Records, on whose web sites I found all of the information relating to certification and sales figures.
Rush released their first album in August 1974, and have released 16 studio albums, 4 live albums, and 3 compilations. They have sold more than 21.5 million albums overall, tying them for 56th place with REO Speedwagon on the All-Time Sales list. All of their albums have been certified GOLD or better by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), now including the newly-released Different Stages.
