Yeah, that's me after I customized myself as a Star Trek Trill

So, are you really interested in me or did you click this link by accident? Well, you're here. You might as well read up on me. :) My name is Sascha Fink and I create customized Barbie Dolls. I didn't always love Barbie. As a kid, I think I had about three or four. I gave them mowhawks and scribbled on their faces. When I got a little older, I used to take my Barbies to my friend's houses. They were always interested in having Barbie "kiss" Ken. I was more interested in leaving Ken at home and going to work in my Barbie Corvette. When my daughter Meghan was born, I began to buy her dolls. Thus began my love. Not only do I collect regular porcelain dolls (my love will always be wedding dolls) but I collect Barbies. My first collectable Barbie was Bob Mackie's Moon Goddess (my mother in law gave it to me). Now I have about 50 including Arthur/Guenivere, Merlin/Morgan Le Fey, The Nutcracker Series, The Oscar de la Renta, Vera Wang, and Calla Lily Barbie from F.A.O. Schwartz. I began to customize dolls when my daughter asked me to "fix" one of her dolls. Keeping true to genetics, she had mutilated it. I fixed her hair, repainted some of her face, and made new clothing. That was the beginning of a new type of love for me. I've always been crafty. I do miniatures, home crafts, wood carving, etc...so this new passion combined all of my talents. In mundane life I work in Middle School Education. I only create my dolls during summer vacation. I simply don't have the time during the school year. I have a wonderful husband who is a Registered Nurse and a beautiful nine (soon to be ten) year old daughter (that incidentally happens to look like Skipper). I love to read, collect Star Trek memorabilia (yes, I'm a true Trekker), write, and create web pages. I play chess competatively and am the 14th highest rated woman player in the State of Pennsylvania. I'm a jack of all trades (as my mother calls me). Well, that's it. Pretty boring, huh?
