On '2' or '12' west of Broomhouse, summer 2002:
Going, going, gone....

Disposals

On disposal, 669 and 707 were both used for schools transport. 707 appeared at Showbus.

Thanks to Gary Seamarks (October 2004):

In service with Cedar of Bedford, 707 was deroofed in March 2003 and went for scrap a few days later, possibly to Barnsley.  671 (ASC 671Y) is still on the road with Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire NHS Trust. It is in all-over red, now a non-psv. Reid Cedar has 708/10/1/2 (A708YFS etc) in operation on school services. 711 is now all-over red, while the rest retain Lothian livery, a bit faded now but still quite smart. They also venture out from time to time on tendered routes.

Thanks to Adrian (2002-2003) for all the following:

Some of the ECW Olympians have been sold to HAD Coaches of Shotts in Lanarkshire. They are original in all details except the destination blinds which have been taken out of action, and they have lost their nut rings. The exit doors are out of service but have not been panelled over except on 730.

A720YFS Retains dual-door but has lost its destination display and nut rings.
A730YFS Has lost its dual doors for a (poorly executed) 1 door conversion, has lost desination display and nut rings..
A731YFS Retains dual-door but has lost its destination display and nut rings.
B759GSC Retains dual-door but has lost its destination display and nut rings.
B760GSC Also half repainted and with all the HAD features.

Some more were bought by Prentice Westwood of West Calder in West Lothian. They retain destination gear but have lost the centre doors. These are used on school services in West Lothian.
A705YFS Has a (decent) conversion to 1 door and keeps its nut rings. It also bears the number 007.
A706YFS Also has a conversion to 1 door and has nut rings.

Blackburn Transport in Lancashire have taken a number of ECW Olympians for use mainly on schools services, where the 83 seats are useful. They are repainted into neat Blackburn cream and green livery,  and retain dual doors. They also keep the destination layout with three-track route numbers, and have new Blackburn destinations.
