Carrie-Anne Moss as Trinity
Latex, firepower, and the ability to climb walls in slow motion. Man, does this gal have it all or what? I can't wait to see what she does in the rest of this Matrix trilogy. I'm curious as to if tehy can get her outfit any tighter. That's got to be hell on her complexion. :)
Carrie-Anne's Biography
Carrie-Anne Moss was born August 21, 1967 ( a Leo) in Vancouver, British Columbia, the youngest of two children. Early on, Carrie-Anne already had aspirations of becoming an actress. At age 11, she was acting in school plays and at 17, she was taking acting classes. During her senior year at Magee Secondary, she was chosen with the school choir to tour Europe. At the urgings of a friend, she stayed in Spain and modeled but she was still bent on pursuing her dream.
In Spain, Carrie-Anne Moss stumbled upon an opportunity to realize her dream. Jumpstarting Carrie-Anne's acting career was a stint as a legal secretary, Tara McDonald, in the TV show Dark Justice (1991) which was produced in Spain during the first season. When the show's production moved to L.A. after a season, Carrie-Anne headed to California in search of greener acting pastures.
In L.A., Carrie-Anne Moss refined her acting skills by appearing in several films and guesting on TV shows (see Filmography). She landed a starring role on Aaron Spelling's primetime soap opera Models Inc (1994) as Carrie Spencer, an aging model with a lot of anxiety issues. Unfortunately, the show was cancelled after less than a season. She was back on the TV screen a year later as Lucinda Scott on F/X: The Series (1996) and back in Toronto where the show was produced. During this time, she had squeezed in several films and TV appearances.
One notable TV appearance, her guesting in Due South (1996) as ill-fated Irene Zuko in the episode "Juliet is Bleeding" won Carrie-Anne a Gemini Award nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Guest Role. She has also appeared in the play Outward Bound in Los Angeles' Hudson Theater.
Her big break, though, came in The Matrix playing the wildly popular cyberwarrior Trinity. Rightly so, because she labored over that role, training intensively for months for the action sequences demanded by the film.
Currently, Carrie-Anne Moss resides in Beverly Hills and is hard at work on new projects.
