Large areas of Viet Nam were defoliated during the war.
Evidence of this is still visible today.
After the war the Vietnamese replanted with Australian eucalypts.
This is because they grow fast and make good building material and firewood.
This was a big mistake!
Eucalypts raise the water table and cause environmental damage outside
their natural habitat.
