NUMBER CRUNCHING:
"What I Like About You" performed
better without "Sabrina" as leadout -- something to think
about when making those midseason tweaks. "Greetings from Tucson"
matched last week's number for "Sabrina". "Reba" did typically
well for its hour-long "Ring-a-Ding" third date show after
last week's frankly aberrant numbers caused by the now-shelved "Do
Over". With all
the machinations of the schedule, the feeling is the WB would dearly
love to keep "WILAY" on for another year, just to have two
comedies to build on, as everything else seems to be paling number-wise
and demo-wise.
Elsewhere, "Happy Gilmore" vastly
improved the 8PM slot for Fox, with the big story being "Fastlane"
brought in on January 10th to replace the stalled "Firefly".
