NUMBER CRUNCHING:
The numbers were better for "What I Like
About You" this week as competition "Firefly" is
weakening more and more every week. The combination of "Firefly"'s
spiralling ratings and "WILAY" not losing audience week to
week makes "Firefly" look like a much shakier show. Sticking
out like a sore thumb this week was "Greetings from Tucson",
as it had one of its lowest numbers in weeks, losing half a ratings
point, while "Sabrina" had a smallish spike in its ratings.
The WB's worst rated show was "Do Over", which might making
promoting Penn Bagley's WILAY appearance this Friday very risky.
FROM THE WB PRESS RELEASE:
At 8:00 p.m. ET, "What I Like
About You" had a strong performance, delivering its second highest
rating of the season in females 12-34 (2.6/10) and equaling its second
highest numbers this season - and matching its outstanding debut - in
women 18-34 (2.6/10) and adults 18-34 (1.8/7). The show ranked #1 in its
time period among female teens (2.6/10) and teens 12-17 (1.8/8 - tie),
and ranked #2, ahead of ABC, CBS, FOX and UPN, in women 18-34 (2.6/10)
and females 12-34 (2.6/10). "What I Like
About You" was up over the equivalent night a year ago in persons
12-34 (+6%), females 12-34 (+13%), adults 18-34 (+13%), women 18-34
(+18%), adults 18-49 (+8%) and women 18-49 (+11%).
