NUMBER CRUNCHING:
The first
week of May Sweeps gave the WB a much needed boost for at least one of
its bubble shows: "What I Like About You" matched the rating
of the more-heavily-promoted series finale of "Sabrina",
taking round one in the battle between "WILAY' and "Greetings
from Tucson" to advance to Season Two (it's thought by many
industry people the WB will carry over only one of these two sitcoms).
All four WB series are back outperforming their previous-year
counterparts, with "Grounded for Life" beginning to approach
"Reba"-esque numbers.
